The press has today echoed the situation of Qobuz, which was placed in receivership this week.

What this means is that Qobuz will await offers from potential buyers who are willing to commit fully to the future of the company.

The Qobuz team is confident that a solution will be found following the reception of offers by the Tribunal, the leaders of which prioritize the honouring of Qobuz’ commitments to its customers.

To our customers and subscribers, we ask that you not turn away from our service, but rather support us by continuing to purchase downloads and/or subscriptions on Qobuz. This support will be very important in ensuring the spirit of Qobuz is upheld and fostered as we move forward.

– Our download customers risk nothing due to the very definitive nature of their purchases.

– If you are a monthly subscriber, we promise to keep you informed of developments in the coming weeks.

– Our annual subscribers who have paid a 12-month subscription in advance are protected by the fact that ‘non-consumption periods’ have always been (and will continue to be) provisioned for on a separate and specific escrow account. These periods will be reimbursed in the event that Qobuz is not able to deliver the service that the customer has subscribed to for the entire paid period.

If you chose Qobuz because we are different, because we are fighting for a cultural and qualitative vision of online music – then please support us by staying with us. You can help us succeed by continuing to pay for downloads and subscriptions.

Keep the faith – it is now the most valuable weapon we have.
