Qobuz Announces Integration with Control4 Home Automation and Smart Home Control System

Written by Qobuz

We’re excited to announce that Qobuz is now available on Control4 Home Automation Systems, making Hi-Res audio capabilities available for the first time to hundreds of thousands of smart homes across the US.

Qobuz has partnered with Control4 to bring certified, 24-bit/192kHz Hi-Res music streaming to high-end home automation for the first time ever.

The partnership will allow all Control4 users (OS 2.10.2 or higher) to easily upgrade to Hi-Res sound, and, alongside Control4’s acquisition of high-end speaker company Triad, furthers the company’s commitment to bringing users the highest quality experience and the ability to tap into their system’s fullest potentials.

Qobuz Chief Hi-Res Evangelist David Solomon said of the partnership: “We’re thrilled that Control4 is the first automation company putting an emphasis on full Hi-Res music streaming and we at Qobuz are thrilled to provide the largest HiRes library in the world. Together, we now can offer the ultimate music experience in any room on any Control4 system. Be on the lookout for a HiRes Control4 playlist on Qobuz that will show you just how good audio can sound.”

David Acton, Director of Product Management at Control4 said “We support high resolution audio from ‘the source to the speaker’ with our line of high quality streamers, switchers and amplifiers. Qobuz enables us to fully realize the capabilities of our high-res electronics.”

Qobuz will stream on Control4’s EA series (entertainment and automation) controllers and Triad One streaming Amplifier, and, on OS3, users will also be able to see the quality of the tracks they are listening to. Details on Qobuz below.
